Locating the SEOM database for
your Store |
|
|
Standard Edition
Touché will locate the SEOM database for your
store in the following manner:
-
Touché will first look for the StdSettings.cfg found in your user profile
Touché directory locate in documents and settings.
-
If a SEOM database four your store is defined
in the StdSettings.cfg file then Touché will open this
database, and be ready run with the data contained in this
database.
-
If there is no SEOM database for your store
defined in the StdSettings.cfg file then Touché will
look in the default Stone Edge directory and look at the
last store opened when you last closed Order Manager.
-
If the Stone Edge directory can not be found
or the last store opened in Order Manager can not be
determined then Touché will continue to load. When
Touché has finished loading you will notice all of the
buttons on the ribbon bar are disabled except for the
"Select" button. You may use this button to help
locate an SEOM database for your store.
-
Once you have connected into your store,
Touché is ready to begin.

appropriate text box. Click on the "Connect" button to
connect to your database. Be sure to spell the name of the

Connecting for the 1st time |
|
|
When
connecting for the first time with Touché, a check will be made
to ensure your SEOM database has been upgraded with the
necessary tables, indexes, and data. If Touché determines
any required item is missing, it will prompt you to upgrade your
database with a message like the one you see here.
Select "Yes" to upgrade your
database. If you do not want to upgrade at this time you
may select "No"; however, Touché will terminate since it cannot
operate correctly without the upgrade.
Touché does not make any changes
to your SEOM tables nor does it alter any of your data.
However, as a precaution, you may want to backup your database
in the unlikely event something does goes wrong. With a
backup, you can always restore it to it's original state before
applying the Touché upgrade.
If you need help upgrading your
database, please feel free to contact
Tech Support. We are glad to help. |
